Us vs. Them breeds a violent mentality.
Us vs. Them turns brother against brother.
Us vs. Them turns sister against sister.
Us vs. Them turns children against children.
Us vs. Them turns citizen against citizen.
Us vs. Them turns fishin' into lynchin'.
Us vs. Them turns the playground into a battleground.
Us vs. Them turns children into soldiers.
Us vs. Them turns belts into holsters.
Us vs. Them pits Christianity against Islam.
Us vs. Them pits "Black" against "White".
Us vs. Them pits Israel against Palestine.
Us vs. Them pits the U.S. against Russia.
Us vs. Them pits Republican against Democrat.
Us vs. Them is really just Us vs. Us.
Us vs. Us is killing us.
Us vs. Us is a horrible place to be.
Us vs. Us breeds catastrophe.
Us vs. Us turns a playground into a battleground.
There is no Us vs. Them; There is just us.
Just us is love.
Just us is joy.
Just us is kind.
Just us is peace.
Just us sounds a lot like Justice.
Just us turns the battleground into the middle ground.
The middle ground is where all can stay and be welcomed.
The middle ground is where Us vs. Them is just us.
The middle ground sets aside its different nationalities.
The middle ground is peace.
This is a blog for those who refuse to take what we are told about anything at face value. It is for those of you who are questioning what your friends and family believe. It is for you who are in need of encouragement. The name comes from Matthew 7:13 where he writes about the wide and straight/narrow gates/paths to eternity. I choose to look at this scripture as saying we shouldn't be too far in any direction on the spectrum, but should be somewhere in the middle ground.
