We go through life every day quietly observing everything around us and listening to everyone's opinions and even though we see how the flaws in what they have said we let it go and move on. We are a different kind of people. We analyze every idea and situation. We see things that no one else sees, not because we look harder, but because our eyes are naturally drawn to them. We find it hard to sit quietly and accept what others say at face value because we know that nothing is as easy and simple as that. We have seen the good and bad in every political party and aren't naive enough to exclusively follow one party or sect of any movement or establishment. We cannot stand ignorance and thrive on well thought out concepts. We are intellectuals and our minds are only satisfied by other intellectuals. We see the middle ground between extremes as the narrow road because the extremes are wide to the right or to the left and have gotten off track*. We don't see ourselves as better than others, but as different.
*Matthew 7:13 - "You can enter God's Kingdom only through the narrow gate. The highway to hell is broad, and its gate is wide for the many who choose that way." The New Living Translation

This is a blog for those who refuse to take what we are told about anything at face value. It is for those of you who are questioning what your friends and family believe. It is for you who are in need of encouragement. The name comes from Matthew 7:13 where he writes about the wide and straight/narrow gates/paths to eternity. I choose to look at this scripture as saying we shouldn't be too far in any direction on the spectrum, but should be somewhere in the middle ground.
